Date with Death

I met you at the graveyard,

We held hands as you take me away.

Our kisses were like acid

And every touch we make, a living thing dies.

Everything went alright between us,

But then, this came along.

You push me down in the coffin

And then shut the lid with a lock.

I became buried alive, suffocating in the dirt

While you, a tombstone, planted on top of me.

Your pale skull is near mines

And with that cold, eerie tone of yours…

You say, “Let me take you, my underworld queen,

“Let me take that Mary’s lamb away from you,

“And soon, you will be mine.”

I struggled inside the coffin

With the lid locked more securely.

You chuckled and say…

“You can scream all you want,

“You can struggle all you need;

“Whatever you do, there is no escape.

“Once I take away your lamb,

“You and I will be together for eternity.”

No… I can’t let you do that to me.

I’m not ready to lose control with you,

I needed to take this slow,

I barely even know you,

And I can’t be your underworld queen.

Don’t even call me that,

I’m not even yours.

As I stay still with agony,

Your charcoal cloak is veiled over me,

Your hot bones are attached to my torso,

Your vampire fangs are on my neck;

I shrieked when I felt that stinging sensation,

And when Mary’s lamb is about to be lost…

I kick you off me with you falling into the coffin.

This time, I’m the tombstone;

I planted myself on you.

If you want my lamb, it’s vampiresses first;

You let out that sneer of yours,

So did I (and you won’t like what I’ll do next).

I lay my lips on yours,

The tone of yours became suddenly lustful;

I played along with your hands around me,

And your skull in between my hands.

After a moment or so,

I slither my hands to my back…

And I summon my bladed cross (without you knowing).

I broke off the acid kiss and

We sneer at one another.

“Close your eyes, honey,” I say to you,

“And relax…”

So you did.

I opened up your cloak,

I can see your heart beat with ardent and lust,

Your lungs rapidly breathing,

It means your distraction is intervening,

I like that…

So keep your eyes closed, darling.

My sneer of seduction turned serious,

Both of my hands are on the cross,

I take it out of my back,

I held it up in the air,

And in a second…

The cross impales through your beating heart.

You scream and struggle, like I did,

Guess it’s the other way around, now.

I impaled it deeper into your heart,

Scarlet is pouring out of you;

It’s filling up the coffin,

You’re now drowning in your own Carmine.

Within seconds, you stopped;

There’s silence from you, and

You’re completely immobilized.

I left the cross there, just to be sure;

Now you can’t take Mary’s lamb,

Because you have met your own fate.

As a tombstone, I knock myself off you,

I dug myself out of the grave you buried me into,

I have the coffin’s lid unlocked.

Before I leave this underworld,

I turn back around to take

One last look of your deadly skull.

“Find yourself a new underworld queen,

“When you go to Hell.” I say to you.

I face away,

I stroll away,

Without looking back, ever…

And I’m glad enough that I still have Mary’s lamb.
