My all time favorite automobile is the Mercedes Benz.
I remember when I was in high school, it was a Saturday because I had to take the SATs (I scored 1250, by the way) and after I was done with the exam, I was standing outside of my school, waiting for my brother and his friend to pick me up since my school transportation fare card cannot work on weekends. By the time all the students dispersed out of the building, a Mercedes Benz appeared right in front of me.
Through the window, I saw my brother in the passenger seat and his friend in the driver’s seat. My brother pulled down the passenger window and then told me, “Get in!”
And so I did.
I entered the back seat of that Mercedes and the interior was as extravagant as the exterior. As I looked out the back seat window…
I couldn’t help but to notice that all the students were staring at me as my brother’s friend drove away. The majority of them had envy and jealousy written on their faces as they stared at the car I just got in as it drives away from the school premises. I could’ve sworn they were talking about me behind the muffled car windows and doors.
Seeing all this attention I received from students brought me this new feeling: a feeling of popularity in spite of never wanting any of that kind of social spotlight due to being an introvert myself.
Ever since this day when I was riding in this type of automobile, I realized that the Mercedes Benz became my most favorite of all time. Just seeing the exteriors of this type of car reminded me so much of the jealous attention I received from the students of my school.
It brought me elation whenever I see any type of Mercedes because it brought me joyful flashbacks from that time. This is why the Mercedes Benz will always and eternally be my favorite car.
It was one of the rare times where I was very ecstatic! And, of course, this is the kind of memory I do not want to erase.
