My dream job is definitely writing.
Ever since I was little, I would carry a lot of journals and dairies to write down my daily experiences and my emotional thoughts. Of course, many of these childhood thoughts I wrote down were personal and private and they were not meant to be shared to anyone else but me.
As I grew older, I would look back to these journals and diaries I had and I would read them while simultaneously reminiscing them. My private thoughts from my childhood were very nostalgic to me. It was like reliving my past of escapism; I wanted to escape into a different reality during those disastrous times, such as natural disasters and wars in the Middle East.
Looking back to these handwritten works by myself, that’s when I realized that I have what it takes to become a famous, or at least, a notable writer.
Throughout middle school, high school, and college, I would carry around a journal wherever I go. I would write down how I feel about my classmates and all the harmful things they have done to me. I would vent down all my negative emotions about how I feel with other people I don’t like around. I would even write my own poetry. After receiving positive criticisms from my poems, I decided to have them published on the school newspapers, where I received positive comments from other students, and I even participated in my college poetry slam, whereas I won 3rd place.
Looking back to my journals, I realized that I have a true talent for writing, from poetry to fanfiction to short stories for classes, and I realized that I deserved to share my written works to the public, so that everyone else can enjoy my writing.
This is the main reason why I have this WordPress blog ever since about 2015. I knew instantaneously that I deserved to share my poetry and creative writing. I knew right away that I deserved the positive reactions to my works. I knew instantly that I have what it takes to write my own books, hence my novels, “No Turning Back,” “Treat Myself Better,” and “Don’t Stay” are born.
Honestly, I am not expecting any spotlights any time soon due to my request for seclusion and privacy, so, for now, I’ll just wait it out and see what would happen next if my books ever become bestsellers any time in the future. For now, I’m just going to keep writing and never give it up.
I will persist with my dream job and nothing will stand in my way.
