My Decline to TikTok

Daily writing prompt
If you could un-invent something, what would it be?

If I could un-invent something, it would have to be TikTok.

There are many things I abhor about this social media site:

  • People performing dangerous challenges, such as the cinnamon challenge and the Tide Pod challenge
  • All the provocative dancing to music I hate
  • Body-related challenges that I honestly do not want to know
  • People emulating one another for attention
  • People breaking laws on camera

When I first heard about TikTok, I instantly knew right away that it’s a stupid social media site. I do not condone any of these things I mentioned. I even read news about people getting seriously injured, or worse, died from performing these risky challenges. I find it all revolting, and everything I perceived in TikTok made me realized that intelligence is coming to an end in this generation, and I absolutely despise the unintelligent world.

All I want is to have more people with conscientiousness and, sadly, for me, conscientiousness is beginning to decline due to stupid people losing common sense. I do not condone to any of that.

With all due integrity, I am proud about the fact that I am not one of those unconscientious people on social media and I have enough common sense that I would never emulate what I perceived people do on camera.

This is why I am hoping with all my heart out that TikTok should be banned, so that we’d have a more intelligent and conscientious society.
