My ideal place called home would be full of my pleasures and all the necessities I need.
A kitchen where I can cook my favorite homemade meals.
A living room where I can relax on my couch.
Two bathrooms, one for myself and one for my cat.
My favorite: a bedroom.
In my bedroom, there would be floor to ceiling bookshelves full of books by my favorite authors, from Charlotte and Emily Bronte to Stephen King; from vague horror stories by Edgar Allan Poe to raw emotional poetry by Sylvia Plath; even some shelves just for my journals. Whenever I need to vent my emotions or talk about my personal day, I’d always have my journal right where they are properly stored. I’d even have a small SmartTV to leisurely stream my favorite shows. Of course, there is my bed and my favorite purple armchair where I can comfortably read my books on my leisure time. There would be two computers in my room: a PC for work and a MacBook to conveniently and comfortably write my novels, short stories, and personal articles and essays to publish on this blog and on Medium. For a good touch, I would have scented candles lit up to help me relax and to keep me focused and inspired for my next writing project. Since it’s autumn now, my current candle is pumpkin spice to get into the fall spirit.
Everything here would be what I call home. It has everything I need from personal pleasures to daily necessities.
I can never move out of my ideal home.
This is my sanctuary and it will always be.
