Kimmerie was written somewhere in 2018, which was about 8 years ago.
After I wrote and published my debut novel, No Turning Back, I thought that I would try something new with my writing, which was writing horror. I simply wanted to experiment miscellaneous literary genres, so I wrote and published this shitty novel.
After all these years after publishing Kimmerie, I realized that I am not happy with this horror-supernatural novel.
Why?
Because:
- There are a myriad of plot holes
- I don’t like the name of a certain character
- I have a bad feeling that I offended people with albinism
- I inadvertently made a bad reference to Stephen King despite him being my favorite author of all time
- It is lazy writing
- It is filled with horror movie cliches
- It is a rip-off to the movies Sinister, The Conjuring, The Woman in Black, and The Possession
- It is written in a juvenile style
Overall, I am not happy with this book!
The reasoning behind why I wrote this shitty novel was because I got inspired by this painting rumored to be haunted called “The Hands Resist Him,” in which it gave me nightmares after looking at it online. So, basically, Kimmerie is based on a real-life painting that gave me nightmares as if I was five years old. I know, it’s asinine.
Since I hated this book so much, I kept having this feeling that I want to shred this book into pieces and then set it on fire. That’s how much I abhor this work.
To be honest, I’m not even sure what to do with this piece of shit novel.
I was about to have it unpublished from Amazon Books, albeit it will still remain in my GoodReads account that I truly do not want to be reminded of it.
So for now, I guess, is to leave it the way it is. If people still want to read it then be my guest.
I don’t care if Kimmerie has negative reviews; I already know that it’s a shit novel, so I anticipated bad reviews in this work.
That’s all I want to say about this book. I am not proud and I am not happy with it.
I just want to burn every copy of it into ashes.
