I always lose the games
As I try to make my name
To get myself more out there
Problem is: I’m nowhere near
To reach to my own prospects
My reputation is what I protect
Listening to hard rock and death metal
As I try to get myself settled
Constantly writing in my diary
Coping with myself in every entry
Attempting to perform at open mics
Though, I have a weak psyche
I am that submissive and vulnerable
I attempt to keep myself under control
To avert myself from being manic
And to avert myself from every panic
I attempted to keep myself strong
Though, everything tends to go wrong
I do not know what to do with myself
Trying to make the icicles melt
To every campfire I make
As a way to feel and take
What is truly mines, only mines
As I make my own time
To shine right out there
To get myself anywhere
As I make my name
When there is a lion to tame
Combating my negative thoughts
Preventing myself from getting caught
While I busk at subways
Performing my poetry every day
Starting off slow and small
Earning little tips from them all
No audience, no attention
I try to earn my own inclination
Though, it is all impossible
I do this daily, it’s incorrigible
As I scream and shout my name
I always ended up losing my games
Though, I will not give up
As I take my daily coffee cups
Getting myself more energized
I will soon earn my prize
Which is myself getting prominent
I may be obscured, though I forget
That I am the most weak and vulnerable
I will soon get everything under control
As I persist getting myself more out there
I am going nowhere; I am staying here
Until everyone knows my name
The lion will eventually be tamed
The icicles will eventually melt
In the campfire I made myself
I will not give up and go home
I know that I am not alone
I know there are others out there
Who are going through the same and here
I will inspire them to persevere
I will continue to appear
At every poetry slam and open mics
I will soon improve my own psyche
I hope to change lives
I will soon high dive
Into the large crowd of my fans
Everyone will cheer for me, and damn
I still have a long way to go
I will start small and slow
Soon, I will reach my prospects
I still have my life to protect
As I pave the way to my dreams
No longer will I cry and scream
About my own failures and laments
I will soon be more prominent
For now, I have to start slow
Until I am ready to give it a go
Until then, I will not give up
I just need my full coffee cups
To focus on my own potentials
I will remain unconventional
About my own poetry and songs
I know that nothing will go wrong
As long as I resume to persevere
I will soon be here and there
I am eternally grateful and fearless
I will not make my own mental mess
Again, I will not bring myself down
I will soon be omnipresent around
I am after all eternally fearless
No longer will there be any mess
For myself and anyone else
I will forever always be myself
I will never be eternally gone
I am always proud for what I’ve done
