What are your favorite 5 apps on your phone?
- Apple Music: It’s where I can enjoy listening to my favorite Hard Rock and Death Metal bands whenever I am reading a book and writing my novels, short stories, and poetry. Whenever I am in a happy mood, I play my favorite Pop songs, such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Kesha. Apple Music is the best way to avoid screen distractions during work and self-care hobbies at home.
- X (formerly Twitter): I perceive this app as a form of self-expression without seeking attention for immoral reasons. I have two X accounts: Nix Achlys for self-expression and poetry reciting; and Nicole Cheng for promoting my published books. Plus, it’s a good way to post my short freestyle poetry to share my writing more out there.
- WordPress JetPack: This app has been a part of me ever since I opened my own WordPress account. I can freely and conveniently post small blogs from my phone. It’s also useful to write quick and spontaneous poetry that came from both my mind and heart. I can also read my own blogs from my phone whenever I am not using my MacBook.
- Amazon: I love online shopping; I identify myself as a shopaholic, though with malls becoming obsolete, I can conveniently shop for anything on Amazon without having to leave my home. My personal habit pertaining to this app is staring at the delivery tracker for hours every time it announces my arriving package being 5 stops away. Back then when I was a child, my favorite truck was the ice cream truck, but now that I’m an adult, my new favorite truck is the Amazon truck. I’m sure everyone can relate to this.
- Minimal: The perfect writing app where I can write drafts of my novels and write down spontaneous poetry. It’s the most useful writing app for me because it is more organized and it can also automatically save my writing drafts and poetry without wasting any time to save it manually. As a prominent author, Minimal saves my life whenever I lose my second drafts, in which I can rewrite them more conveniently from this app since they will always stay in this app.
